~ All the drama & presence a girlie-girl's heart craves ~ ultra-femme party dress seeks Cinderella, waiting for over 20 years. Fabulous Late Edition dress, faux silk brocade with pink cabbage roses on black background and complementary oversized dramatic fuschia bows at either shoulder. High drama, not for wallflowers! New old stock with department store tags.
Shaped and boned, the dress pays homage to the ‘30’s with the cabbage rose print, gathered, exaggeratedly puffy blouson sleeves, dramatic sweetheart neckline and deep open back, not to mention the form fitting intricate inverted darts shaping the skirt. Tags indicate it came from the Bon Marche, a venerable Seattle department store established in 1890, eventually acquired by Macy’s; "The Bon" name disappeared into history in 1985.
